*Observations: This one-pickup beauty is a real classic, straight from Gibson's golden age of electric guitar production. condition is overall very good. It has its fair share of battle scars from many years of action in the form of scatches, small dings and dents on all of its surfaces, along with medium to large finish chips along the sides. There are a few larger dents of note, one on the back of the headstock, one on the back of the body, and one on the upper bass-side corner of the headstock. The back of the neck has significant finish wear and numerous small dents as well. A beautiful refret job has been performed and the frets are in fantastic condition.
The tuners have been replaced with nice quality Kluson Deluxe-style gears, a well-cut bone nut has replaced the original nylon one, and a Joe Glaser Music City one-piece wraparound bridge has replaced the original one, providing superior intonation. The jack plate, output jack and knobs are likely replacements as well.
Most importantly, however, the original P-90 and electronics are here and they sound wonderful, delivering all the rich, smoky, woody tones these guitars are famous for as well as being surprisingly clear when the volume or tone controls are backed down. This is a beautiful-sounding vintage guitar with all the right mods to keep it rocking for many more years to come.
