*Observations: This late '60s classic is in very good condition overall. The body has the scratches, scuffs, dings and dents you would expect from a guitar that has seen many years of action, along with some buckle rash on the back and a little finish checking. The sides of the guitar have some larger dents and there is a rough area in the finish on the lower bout side near the output jack that looks like it may have been oversprayed, but the rest of the finish does not exhibit this. There is a small finish chip on the top next to the neck pocket and a finish chip on the back of the neck.
The frets on these guitars were low profile from the factory, but after many years of play the frets here are nearly flat and heavily grooved in spots. The wood between the upper frets has a lightly scalloped appearance.
The bridge pickup has been replaced with a Jackson J-80 humbucker but the neck pickup is original. In the middle position, the pickups are out of phase. The pots and tone capacitor may have been replaced but the knobs and pickup selector toggle switch are original. The tuners may have been replaced with a set of period correct Kluson Deluxe units. All of the hardware and electronics are fully functional and sound great. This is a super cool guitar that drips with 60s vibe, looking to keep on rocking for another 60 years.
