*This is a used guitar in very good condition
*This is a consignment item
*Includes non-original hard shell case
*Observations: The Jubilee was a short-scale (24 1/2") "mini-dreadnought", roughly the size of an LG-2, that Gibson only made for a brief time from 1969 to 1970. With such a brief production window, there aren't many of these around.
This one is in very good condition. It has scratches and small dings and dents all over from years of playing wear but overall it looks like it was taken good care of. There is a decent amount of finish checking, but no cracks. The frets have some small dents and slight flattening in the "cowboy chord" area but appear to have plenty of life in them. Most Jubilees seem to have had bridges with adjustable saddles, but this one has a bridge with a drop in saddle made of an unknown synthetic material, probably a replacement. The nut appears to be a replacement as well, possibly made from Tusq or Micarta. The tuners are original and while they are a bit stiff they are functional.
Playability is good, and the tone is sweet and intimate. A K&K Mini pickup with an endpin jack and a soundhole-mounted volume wheel has been professionally installed and it sounds great and works well. A non-original hard shell case is included.
