*Observations: What's there to say about the Fender Super Reverb that hasn't already been said? For decades this has been a go-to for countless guitarists looking for a loud, great-sounding gigging and recording amp that can handle a wide range of styles. Although this one has seen its fair share of rock and roll over the years, it's still ready to go.
The tube chart that would normally be inside the cabinet is missing, but the chassis stamp and feature set point to a birthday somewhere in middle of 1970. The tolex has lots of dings, dents, scratches and small tears, including some larger tears that reveal a little wood beneath. There are some holes and perforations in the grille cloth, as well as some oxidation on the metal parts and some grimy buildup inside the cabinet. All four "Fender Special Design" 10" speakers appear to be original. The "rest stop" for the left-side metal leg is missing, but both legs are fully functional and prop the amp up well. All of the corner joints appear to be nice and sturdy, with no wobble.
Despite its cosmetic issues, this amp works great and still sounds terrific. The original footswitch is included. PLEASE NOTE that this amp will not be shipped, it is only available for local pickup here in Austin, Texas.
