*Observations: This is a cool Les Paul Custom built in 1971, just a few years after Gibson re-introduced the LP in 1968. For its age, the condition is very good. There is play-wear scratching and scuffing all over the top and back and the back of the neck, as well as numerous small dents and dings throughout. On the back there are two large areas of missing finish exposing bare wood, as well as two much smaller ones. There is some significant buckle rash on the back as well. The tuners have been replaced with gold Grovers, the control knobs have been replaced with tan speed knobs, and although the pickups appear to be the original "T" tops, their covers have been removed. Everything else appears to be original.
The slim "C" neck feels terrific, playability is very good, and the electronics work well and sound great!
