*Observations: For a cabinet that's now over 50 years old, this is in very good condition. The speakers all appear to be original, stamped T1221 with the date code of "AE X", indicating January of '72. The tolex has lots of small dings and dents and numerous small tears along all the edges, particularly at the corners, but is mostly intact. The grille cloth has a few frayed spots, but no actual holes or tears. The plastic "dishes" on the top of the cab are still there but cracked around the corners. One of the handle plates has cracked corners as well, while the other is intact. One of the "L's" in the "Marshall" logo is bent forward.
Setting aside these cosmetic issues, this cabinet sounds unbelievable. We plugged in a few different British style amp heads and this thing delivers exactly the big, bold Marshall growl that we all love and have enjoyed on more classic recordings than can be counted. This is a great specimen of an absolute gear classic.
