*Observations: Overall the condition of this lovely 1959 Reissue Les Paul is very good. There is a fair amount of scuffing and scratching from play wear on the top, particularly on the pickguard and the "horn" of the cutaway, but the back is clean and there are no notable dents or dings. The nitro finish has dulled a bit in a few spots and there is a little cloudiness in the finish, notably on the sides of the guitar. The nickel pickup covers and bridge hardware have developed a patina from contact with skin and/or sweat, giving it a cool 'aged' look. Fret wear is minor, with just a little gentle flattening across a few frets but no grooves or string dents. The neck has a nice, chunky '50s "C" shape that is very comfortable and the playability is excellent. The flame maple top is stunning, the electronics work perfectly and the tone is fantastic!
