*Observations: Founded in 2007 by Greg Howard, Ossie Ashen and Aerosmith's Brad Whitford, 3 Monkeys made some of the early 21st Century's coolest all-tube amps. This is an extremely rare beast (a 400 pound gorilla, if you will), a BW119 4x12" half-stack in stunning purple tolex with silver accents and orange silk-screened panels. This one is serial number 1, and according to the amp's previous owner it belonged to Brad Whitford himself and was possibly used by him on some recording sessions. There is no direct documentation of this, although there are pictures online of him recording with an amp that looks very much like this one, and it does not appear that many of these amps were produced.
The condition here is excellent. Aside from a very small tear in the tolex at the very bottom of the front edge of the cabinet, it is very clean and in great working order. This is an incredibly beautiful, loud, hard-to-find, and great-sounding amp!
