Lightweight, resonant mahogany combined with a carefully hand-set extra long mortise and tenon neck joint bring tonal complexity and sustain to the table in spades. The CL Deluxe features ivoroid neck and peghead binding and their custom ivoroid "top hat" knobs and pickup rings. Sleekly contoured for comfort and style, Collings has brought new life to an American classic.
PREMIUM TONE WOODS
Each Collings Deluxe electric guitar is constructed of all solid woods that are acquired, acclimated, and hand selected for acoustical response by Collings' master luthiers.
PLAYABILITY
A combination of exacting PLEK machine leveling and hand fret dressing ensures consistently excellent playability and a silky fret feel.
DELUXE APPOINTMENTS
Custom ivoroid knobs and pickup rings are handmade in the Collings shop and only available on a Collings Deluxe electric.
FINISH
By meticulously hand-sanding between coats, Collings' nitrocellulose lacquer finishes measure between 0.005" and 0.007" in final thickness, maximizing acoustic response while providing excellent protection and aesthetics.
