VENUS
Venus is a real tube overdrive inspired by all the pedal and rack versions of the BK Butler/Chandler Tube Driver, generating anything from a smooth, light overdrive tone, to a high gain nasty distortion.
The various versions of the original BK Butler Tube Driver have been used by guitarists such as Eric Johnson (used on albums like “Ah Via Musicom” and “Venus Isle”), David Gilmour (on Pink Floyd’s “Division Bell”, “Pulse” and later solo albums), Joe Satriani (“Surfing With The Alien”), J Mascis, Billy Gibbons, Joe Bonamassa, and many others.
With the ultimate versatility and tone sculpting in mind, Crazy Tube Circuits set to out to recreate one of the greatest masterpieces of the pedal museum with modern refinements. First of all, size matters, so without sacrificing tone, they have squeezed their circuit into the smallest possible enclosure, less than half the size of the original pedal units.
Controls:
Drive: control the amount of tube drive / saturation and sustain
Bias: set the tube cathode bias for different types of tubes or texture of the overdrive/distortion
Volume: set the output level of the effect
