Early '60s Hofner 185 Artist Bass (Used)

*Observations: This 1960s Hofner short scale bass is absolutely stunning and in very good condition for its age. Everything appears to be original and the hardware and electronics are in great working order. There are numerous small nicks and dings everywhere from years of playing, the knobs and binding have yellowed a bit with age and there is a patina on the hardware, but overall the condition is outstanding for an instrument in the ballpark of 60 years old. In particular, the vinyl "Brokat" wrap on the top and back is gorgeous, guaranteed to transport you straight back to the swingin' Sixties, whether you were there or not! Currently it is set up with flat wound strings and playability is good. The original chipboard case is included, and though it is in much rougher shape than the bass, it is functional.
