*Observations: This striking creation was brought to life by luthier Alistair Hay of Ireland's Emerald Guitars, well-known for creating wild sculpted guitar designs for artists like Steve Vai. The neck and fingerboard are made from a carbon graphite composite material and the body sculpture was created by using a hardened foam-like material coated with carbon graphite composite, allowing the weight of this intergalactic monster to come in at a reasonable 9 lbs 12 oz, very remarkable for a guitar this size.
Condition is very good, although there is a little damage to the body. The narrow "spokes" on the rear end of the guitar have cracked, and two of the "teeth" on the treble-side "pod" that houses the tone and volume controls have broken off. Two of the broken tips will be included with the guitar in a small plastic bag. There is a little play wear but the frets are in good shape and the EMG pickups and electronics work well and sound great.
This unique work of art may look like it just crawled out of some sinister derelict space vessel but it is indeed a fully playable instrument ready to rock your corner of the cosmos.
