AB-SYNTH

Originally from FuzzHugger's website:

A harmonic-blasting, liquidy, layered fuzz--with controls that take you from smooth and searing to splattery! From there, add a mind-altering second mode with wild oscillation, whale calls, blips, self-arpeggiation, more synth tones, and fat octave down sounds! The legendary AB-Synth is an experience to be had!

The Controls!
· Right Footswitch: On/Off.
· Left Footswitch: Activates Trip mode for oscillation!

· Voice/Trip:
· In Fuzz mode, this knob adjusts VOICE...basically the general response/feel of the fuzz.
Knob-left is tighter and smoother, knob-right is bassier/looser. You'll also notice some gain
reduction between the two extremes.
· In Trip mode, knob-left is a high pitch (with blips as you roll back the Fuzz knob)...knob-right
is a croaky droning cackle.
Not a typical left-to-right knob (adjust to your desired spot! Try full-left, full-right, then try in-between).
· Fuzz: Increases gain and overdrive. From high-gain to higher, while increasing focus and
sizzle! The last tiny turn of this knob compresses the fuzz for a splattier, over-fuzzed sound.
· Clip: Clip blends between silicon and germanium diodes for many different textures, from
more compressed and clipped to more open.
· Knob-fully-right: classic AB-Synth fuzz (the most clipped and modern). As you back it off,
you'll reduce clipping and open up the fuzz, then start blending in the germanium diode. (As
you adjust clipping and compression, you'll notice some changes in perceived output.)
Not a typical left-to-right knob (adjust to your desired spot! Try full-left, full-right, then try in-between).

Trip Mode (both footswitches on):
· All knobs affect oscillation in this mode.
· First-time users, start with your guitar’s Vol and Tone turned all the way up!
· For weird synth bass tones: Roll back on your guitar's Vol knob!
· For self-arpeggiation: Turn the Clip knob fully left...for more self-arp and octave down, roll
back on your guitar’s Vol knob.
· For blips: Turn Voice knob full left...start with Fuzz knob turned full right, then start backing it
left. Blips of varying speeds!
· Trip Mode requires passive pickups. Also, no buffered-bypass pedals in front of it.
