*Observations: This is a beautiful one-owner vintage guitar! It was purchased new in the 1960s and was lovingly named "Rosie" by its life-long owner (narrow nut-width suggests '67-'68). The "Sparkling Burgundy" finish, originally a metallic orange-red, has faded into several lovely coppery shades. Sections of the back of the neck that were played more heavily have become greenish in color. This guitar was definitely played with love for many years and shows it, but overall condition is very good. There are a few long finish check lines along the top, on the back and on the back of the headstock, and playing scuffs and scratches all over the top and on the pickguard and pickup covers. There are a few small finish chips along the edge the lower bout just above the bass side F-hole. The back of the guitar exhibits scratches and numerous light dings. There is moderate belt buckle rash but no finish is missing. There is some separation between the finish and the binding on the bass side of the neck, with more on the treble side, along with some small finish chips. The back of the neck has a medium sized area of worn-down/scraped-down finish in the 12th-14th fret area. Frets are worn down low but the guitar still plays well. The tuners have been replaced with Gibson-branded Kluson Deluxes, and the original Kluson tuners are in the case. Most of the chrome on the other hardware is in excellent condition. "Rosie" is a beautiful, unique-looking player-grade vintage 335 with a cool pedigree, ready to give its next owner many years of great tones and great memories.
