*This is a used amplifier in very good condition
*This is a consignment item
*Observations: For a brief time from roughly 1982 to 1984, the Hiwatt name was owned by a company called Sterling Imports Ltd, who had the amps made in the Los Angeles, California area. These have become known as the "Sterling Era" Hiwatts. This is a great example of these somewhat underrated amps. While this one does not quite have the uncompressed, percussive attack of a British 100 watter, the 30 watt power rating of this amp makes it potentially more friendly to modern stage volumes. It's still loud, but it's possible to get rocking British tones without knocking down the walls.
Condition is very good for an amp of this age. There are small tears, dents, frayed spots and some minor separation in the tolex, as well as the numerous scratches and dings you'd expect from an amp of this age that has clearly been played a lot. It sounds great and appears to be in fine working order.
