*Observations: The venerable Rat pedal is one of the most celebrated distortion pedals ever made, and its big, bold, surprisingly versatile tones have been heard on countless hit records and on innumerable stages, big and small, for decades. Going by the pots, this one hails from 1985 and it sports the highly sought-after LM308 chip. It can run on a battery or a 9 volt power supply but keep in mind that you'll need a power cable with a 1/8" tip to plug it in.
The surfaces have a lot of scratches, dings, wear and abrasions from many years of rock and roll, but overall the condition is very good, especially for a pedal that was built when "Back to the Future" was the top movie in theaters. Everything works great and the sound is completely kick-ass, as one would expect.
