*Observations: With their aluminum necks and wild looks, Wandre guitars never achieved much of a foot-hold in the USA but they have over the years found their way into the hands of a few notable players like Jeff Tweedy of Wilco. This Italian-made hollowbody rarity from the swingin' 60s is in very good condition for its advancing age. The top is contoured in a strangely concave fashion. Whether this is stock or something that has developed over time is unknown. The unique domed double pickguard assembly has shrunken and warped a bit over the years, and a couple of the screw-hole edges have some cracking. There is some oxidation on the hardware and a good amount of chrome has worn off the bridge. The vibrato assembly's arm has been replaced and it works normally, as do the tuners. Frets are in good shape for a guitar from this era.

According to the previous owner, the pickups were rewound in 2014 but aside from this the electronics are original and functional. The aluminum neck is bolted on and the wood in the area around the neck bolts is very rough. It is unknown whether this is a result of work done on the guitar or if it is missing a plate that would have covered this. It does not affect the functionality of the instrument. Playability is decent, with no extreme issues.

This is a cool instrument that is a rare relic of a crazy, fun era of guitar design, perfect for collectors of obscure European axes or for anyone looking for an unusual flavor to add to their vintage guitar stable.
