*Observations: This guitar is a bit of a "player", but a fine one, indeed. There is a large crack that occurred on the neck heel that went down into the body, but it has been well-repaired and appears to be very solid. There are a few large gouges on the back and sides of the body and a few on the sides and face of the headstock and a couple of smaller ones on the back of neck. Apart from that, there are smaller dents and dings and the expected playing wear from a guitar that looks like it has seen a lot of use over the years.
The tuners have been replaced with 3-on-a-strip Kluson style gears that matched up extremely well with where the originals went. A look underneath them reveals that no extra holes were drilled. A compensated Music City wraparound one-piece bridge has replaced the original. Two of the pickguard screws are severely stripped. A well-executed re-fret has been performed and the frets are in great condition.
Apart from that, everything else appears to be original, including the pickup and electronics, which function perfectly. Playability is absolutely terrific and the guitar sounds outstanding. The original P90 has plenty of heat and bark when cranked and chimes beautifully when turned down, making this one very hard guitar to put down.
