*Observations: This '57 Reissue Strat was made in 1996 as part of what Fender called the U.S. Vintage Series at the time, more commonly known now as the American Vintage Reissue series (or AVRI) today. The condition is excellent for a guitar built nearly 30 years ago. The pickguard was replaced with a 3-ply pearloid one, but the original 1-ply white pickguard will be included with the guitar. Apart from some scratching on the pickguard from light play wear and a few light scratches on the back, the lovely "Ocean Turquoise" finish is very clean. As the vintage size frets are small and low, there is light scratching on the fingerboard from contact with the strings. Fret wear is minimal.
Note that the vintage reissue Strats of this era were shipped with 50s-style 3-way switches and not 5 way switches, and this one is no exception. A 5-way selector switch is included in the case should you decide to go with that instead. Also included in the original tweed hardshell case are the original hang tag, instrument cable, strap, and extra tremolo springs.
This guitar may have been built back in the 90s as a tribute to a vintage classic, but it is now fast approaching the age to be considered a vintage classic itself!
