*Observations: This beautiful 2019 National Style 1 Tricone has been loaded up with some very cool options, including "German Silver" body plating, a pickup, and a cutaway. The body is finished in National's "Replicon" style, factory aged with a lovely patina to simulate years of playing. There are spots on the top where some additional patches of greenish oxidation have appeared, along with some light scratching from play wear and some "splat" marks on the sides and back that may have been caused by moisture or possibly perspiration. There is very little fret wear.
Playability is comfortable, with medium-height action that can work equally well for fretted and slide playing and the National humbucking pickup sounds great. Note that there is only an output jack, as there are no volume or tone controls on the guitar. Most importantly, tone of this guitar is absolutely stunning and inspiring---loud, throaty and clear, with both power and complexity in spades.
