The Classic marries vintage design with modern improvements resulting in an instrument that is capable of producing iconic tones while retaining the build quality, features and playability you’ve come to expect from Suhr.

The unique blend of locking tuners, a high performance bridge, and Suhr's proprietary SSCII noise reduction system creates the perfect combination of vintage tones with modern performance.

ELECTRONICS

SSCII
Suhr's Silent Single Coil II system (SSCII) is a proprietary passive 60-cycle hum reduction system that has no impact on tone, no batteries to change - just transparent noise reduction.

PICKUPS

V60LP Single Coil Pickup -

The V60LP pickups faithfully recreate the classic single-coil sounds of the 60’s. These pickups also use the same magnets that were used in the pickups made during this era. What you get are clear bell-like highs, warm and punchy mids, and big yet firm lows that are the hallmark of great vintage pickups. It's wound using a proprietary winding process that replicates the hand-wound pattern of some early-60’s single-coil pickups which have a natural roll off on the top end, imparting sweeter and rounder highs.

SSV Humbucking Pickup -

The SSV has a broad sonic aperture with very little compression, making for a dynamic, vintage output humbucker. The SSV Neck is a versatile pickup that combines the warmth of a vintage humbucker with increased clarity and definition. The SSV Bridge is similar to the SSV neck in tone, but wound hotter for more output, increased sustain and a sweet midrange response.

HARDWARE

TUNERS
The Classic is equipped with staggered locking tuners which provide improved tuning stability and eliminate the need for a traditional string tree.

BRIDGE
The appointed Gotoh 510 tremolo bridge features dual steel knife edge pivot points to provide greater functionality and years of trouble free performance. The 510’s tremolo block was designed to allow the strings to contact the saddle without touching the block as it passes through which increases sustain and tuning stability.
