***Observations: Tune Guitar Technology basses of the 1980s and early 1990s were well-made Japanese instruments and are highly regarded by many players. Unfortunately, there is not a lot of information about specific models from this era, so some of the details on this Bass Maniac are not available (the current makers of Tune-branded basses are not the original company, they just make instruments using the names and some of the designs).
What we do know: It has a mahogany body and an attractive koa top with a 3-piece bolt-on maple neck, it has a simple but effective active electronics set, and it is surprisingly lightweight considering its materials. Condition is excellent, with only light playing wear and minimal fret wear. The truss rod cover is missing, but apart from that the hardware looks great. Playability is excellent. A non-original Fender gig bag is included.
