*Observations: This beautiful R9 Les Paul is in excellent condition, and is also light weight at 8 lbs, 3.5 oz! The lovely classic-looking sunburst finish was Murphy-aged from the factory but this model precedes the introduction of what Gibson is currently calling the "Murphy Lab" aging process. The light/medium relic job on the finish and hardware is expertly done and very convincing. The flame on the top is not dramatic, but is still very attractive indeed. Fret wear is minimal and playability is terrific.
The pickups have been replaced with a great-sounding set of Doyle Coils Tru-Clone humbuckers, along with a Doyle Coils wiring harness that includes pots, caps, wires and 3-way switch. The original 50s-style Gibson hard shell case is included, but the COA has been lost.
This is one foxy Historic 'Burst with a nicely figured top and a killer sounding set of pickups ready to deliver all the classic tones these guitars are famous for, and to do it in style.
